We believe in the one living and true God,
the loving Creator who sustains the universe,
the Father of us all,
whose holy desires for human life are our hope and joy.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the ever-living Word,
fully God and fully human His perfect life is our guide:
He lived as a servant, to show us God's love.
He suffered and died on the cross, to offer us forgiveness.
He rose from the dead, to share with us his victory.
Now he prays for us without ceasing;
in the end, he will come to judge the world.
He is our Savior, Lord and Friend.
We believe in the Holy Spirit of God,
by whom we are convinced of sin,
prompted to repentance, moved to confess Christ,
changes in the inner person, filled with righteousness,
blessed with assurance,
guided into all truth,
and given varieties of gifts for Christian service.
We believe the Bible is God's Holy Word.
It contains all things necessary for our salvation
It is the authority and guide for Christian faith and life.
Our understanding of Scripture is:
guided by the spirit, informed by tradition,
confirmed by experience and
made clear through careful thinking.
We believe the gift of the Christian life
is offered to us in our Baptism and
begun through our personal faith in Jesus Christ.
This abundant life is marked by:
doing no harm and avoiding all evil,
by doing good in every way
and by keeping the commands of God.
Our continual growtn
in the knowledge of God,
in love and in service,
shows that we are alive in Christ.
Our final home will be in Heaven.
We believe the church is a community of faith,
where all true believers live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
God calls us to be a redeeming fellowship,
to let love rule and grow in all our hearts, to meet human need
to build each other up and to heal relationships with acceptance, love and care.
God calls us to extend Christ's ministry of love to all people,
to share a common life through worship, prayer, study and service,
to make disciples by teaching all that Jesus commands,
to oppose evil,
to work for peace and justice and to offer new life in Jesus Christ to the world.
